Edit your church page header: logo, cover, name, socials, Give, service time, and bio

The page header is the very top of your public church page: your logo, church name, social icons, a Give button, your service time and location, and a short bio. You edit all of it in one place, and a live phone preview on the right redraws as you make changes.

Before you begin

  • You need permission to edit your church's settings (an admin role).
  • Editing header fields changes them in more than one place. See Good to know below before you start.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Church. In the left sidebar, click Church. This opens the page editor on the Church tab, with a live phone preview of your page on the right.
  2. Find the Page header section. It sits at the top of the editor and reads "The top of your page. Tap anything to edit." Every row here is a tap target.
  3. Change your logo. Tap the square logo (the one with the little camera badge in the corner), then choose an image file. It uploads right away and appears in the preview.
  4. Add or change your cover photo. Tap the Add a cover photo row (it reads Cover photo once one is set), then choose an image. This is the wide banner across the top of your page.
  5. Edit your church name. Tap the name to open the Edit church name pop-up window. Type the new name in the Church name field and click Save. A note reminds you: "This name appears across your page, emails, and event pages."
  6. Add social links. Tap the social row to open Edit social links. Use Add a platform to pick one (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and more), enter your handle, drag the rows to set the order, then click Save. They show as an icon row on your page.
  7. Add a Give button. Tap the Give row to open the Give link pop-up window. Paste the web address of whatever giving page you use (Tithe.ly, Pushpay, Stripe, your own page) and click Save. This adds a Give button next to your church name. Leave it blank to hide the button.
  8. Set your service time and location. Tap the service row to open the Sunday service pop-up window. Choose the Day, set Starts (and an optional Ends), search for your venue under Where, and adjust the Display name visitors see. Click Save.
  9. Write a short bio. Tap the bio row to open the Edit about pop-up window. Add a warm, welcoming description of your church, then click Save.

Each row opens its own pop-up window and saves when you click Save (the logo and cover photo upload as soon as you pick a file). Empty rows show a prompt like "Add social links" until you fill them in.

Good to know

  • These fields are church-wide. The cover photo, logo, church name, service time, and bio you set here also appear in your Settings, your emails, and your event pages. Your social links and Give button are the same values shown in Settings too. Change them once here, and they update everywhere.
  • The map uses your service venue. The optional map lower on your page plots the same address you set in the Sunday service pop-up window. Pick a real place under Where so visitors can tap through to directions.
  • The preview is a picture, not a live page. The phone preview shows how your page looks, but you can't click through it. Open your public page in a browser to try the real buttons.
