Program name
The program name is Churchday. Every message in the program includes the word “Churchday” in the message body so you know who is sending it. Churchday is operated by Zion Design, LLC.
Types of messages you may receive
- Event invitations and RSVP requests
- Event reminders (typically 1 week, 1 day, and 2 hours before an event)
- Volunteer schedule notifications and position confirmations
- Updates from your church (announcements, location changes, cancellations)
- Service-related messages (account verification codes, security alerts)
- Replies to messages you send to us or your church
Churchday does not use your phone number for telemarketing and does not send marketing messages about third-party products or services.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your church’s activity and the events you are attending. A typical member receives between 1 and 4 messages per week. You will not receive more than one automated reminder for the same event on the same channel.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Churchday does not charge you to receive SMS or MMS messages. Your mobile carrier, however, may apply standard messaging and data rates based on your plan. Contact your carrier for details.
How to opt in
You can join the Churchday SMS program in any of the following ways. Consent is always voluntary, never pre-checked, and never required to use the free features of Churchday.
- At event RSVP: When you register for an event on a Churchday-powered page, you may enter your mobile number and tick an unchecked box labeled: “Text me reminders and updates from this church. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.”
- In your account settings: If you have a Churchday account, go to Account → Notifications and turn on SMS notifications. The toggle is off by default.
- By reply to a church you already belong to: If your church has your phone number on file and sends you a Churchday message under an applicable nonprofit or implied-consent exemption, you can reply START or YES to confirm ongoing enrollment, or STOP to decline.
- Keyword: When a church shares a join keyword, you can text that keyword (for example,
JOIN) to the Churchday sender number listed in the church’s sign-up materials to join the program and receive a confirmation reply.

- Email hello@churchday.co and ask us to remove your number.
After you opt out, you will receive one confirmation message acknowledging that you have unsubscribed, and no further Churchday SMS will be sent to your number unless you opt back in.
