Custom pages: what's available today
Churchday gives your church public pages that visitors can open without signing in. This article explains which pages you get today, what is still on the way, and how to share the info you need in the meantime.
The public pages you have today
Right now every church has two kinds of public pages, and both are created for you.
- Your church page. This is your one main public page, sometimes called your church profile. You edit it from the Church tab, and it holds your cover image, logo, name, service time and place, social links, a give button, a short bio, quick-link buttons, and an optional map. Everything you change there updates the same public page.
- A page for every published event. Each time you publish an event, Churchday builds a public page for it automatically. You do not create or design these one by one; publishing the event is all it takes.
That covers most of what a church needs to share online: who you are, when and where you meet, and what is coming up.
A builder for extra pages is still on the way
You might want separate standalone pages, like an About, Contact, or What to expect page, each with its own drag-and-drop layout, content blocks, and embedded forms. That kind of page builder is planned, but it is not available in the app yet.
Because it is not live, there is no menu item or button to create extra custom pages right now. If you go looking for a "new page" option, you will not find one, and that is expected. When the builder is ready, you will be able to add and design these pages yourself.
Share key info in the meantime
Until the extra-page builder arrives, you can still get almost everything in front of visitors using tools that are live today.
- Open the Church tab. In the left menu, click Church. This opens the editor for your public church page, with a live phone preview on the right.
- Set your page header. Add your cover image, logo, name, service time and place, and social links at the top of the editor. Then click Edit bio to write a short welcome or "what to expect" note. Your bio is a good home for the paragraph you would otherwise put on an About page.
- Add quick links. In the Quick links section, click Add link to pin buttons below your header. Use these to point people to a giving page, a directions map, a livestream, or any web address you already have. These act like a simple menu for the rest of your info.
- Collect responses with a form. For anything that needs a reply, such as a contact request, a prayer request, or a sign-up, open the Forms area and build a form. You can share the form's own link or add it as a quick link on your church page.
Between the page header, quick links, your bio, and forms, you can cover most of what a dedicated page would hold.
Good to know
- Your church page and your event pages are public. Anyone with the link can view them without an account.
- Quick links have a limit, so pick the handful of destinations that matter most.
- The extra-page builder is planned, not usable today. Please do not promise visitors a separate About or Contact page until it ships.
