Limited Slots Sign-ups
Sometimes a sign-up needs limits, five spots on the meal team, twelve seats in the van, three people per serving time. The Limited slots question type handles this for you: each option has a set number of spots, and it locks when it fills up.
Before you begin
- You need the Admin or Staff role.
- Start with a form. See Creating a form.
Step-by-step
- Add a question. In the form builder, click Add question.
- Choose Limited slots as the question type.
- Write the question. For example, "Which serving time works for you?"
- Add your slots. Each option is a Slot. For each one, set the number of Spots available. Leave Spots blank for a slot with no limit.
- Save and publish. Publish the form and share its link.
What people see
- Each slot shows how many spots are left, like "3 left."
- When a slot fills up, it shows "Full" and can't be picked.
- If every limited slot is full, a message lets people know none are open right now.
Good to know
- Everyone picks one slot. Limited slots is a single-choice question, a person signs up for one option.
- No double-booking. If two people try for the last spot at the same time, only one gets it; the other is asked to pick another slot. Counts stay accurate.
- Great for: meal teams, serving times, van or carpool seats, class sections, anything with a fixed number of openings.
