Understanding Your Analytics

Churchday shows you how people find and respond to what you publish. Instead of one big report, analytics live right on the thing they measure: each event, each form, and your church page has its own Analytics tab.

Where to find analytics

  • For an event: open the event and click the Analytics tab.
  • For a form: open the form and click the Analytics tab.
  • For your church page: go to Church and click the Analytics tab.

Each screen focuses on that one item, so you always see numbers in context.

What the numbers mean

  • Visitors: how many different people opened the page. The same person on the same day counts once, even if they refresh or come back later.
  • Registrations or Submissions: how many people signed up for the event or sent in the form. This is the full history, all the way back to the start.
  • Conversion: the share of visitors who went on to register or submit.
  • How people arrive: where your visitors came from, such as your church page, a shared link, Instagram, email, or a QR code.
  • Who visited: a list of the people who opened the page. Church members and people with a public Churchday profile show by name; everyone else shows as "Someone."

On your church page, you also see Link clicks and Top links: which of your links (Give, socials, directions, featured links) people tapped most.

Good to know

  • Visitor counts start when tracking turns on. Registrations, submissions, and attendance always reflect the full history, but visitor and traffic-source numbers only begin from the first time that page was viewed with tracking on. On an older event, conversion is measured only over that tracked window so the percentage stays fair.
  • Your church page shows the last 7 days. Event and form analytics show everything since tracking began.
  • Your own visits count on events, forms, and your church page, so a quiet event's visitor number may partly be you and your staff opening it.
  • No cookies, no tracking across sites. Visitors are counted with a privacy-friendly daily fingerprint, not a cookie that follows people around the web.
  • New people who fill out a form are added to your people list automatically if they include an email.
