Giving someone access to just one tab
When someone only needs one part of your dashboard, you don't have to make them an admin or build a whole role. You can give them access to a single tab, and nothing else. It's perfect for a worship leader who only touches the Schedule, or a volunteer who runs Check-in.
Before you begin
- You need the Admin role (people who manage your People tab can also give access).
Which tabs you can share
You can grant access to any of these tabs one at a time: Events, Schedule, People, Email, Church, Expenses, and Tap & Scan.
Home and Settings can't be shared this way. Home is admin-only, and Settings is where access itself is managed.
Give someone access
- Open the tab you want to share (for example, Schedule).
- Find its Access area and click Invite. A window opens where you manage who can reach this tab.
- Add the person by email, or copy the access link to send yourself.
- They accept the invite and can now open that one tab. They see a note that you gave them access to it.
What a tab grant can and can't do
- Inside that tab, the person can do what an admin could do there, like create and edit in Events, or assign volunteers in Schedule.
- They never get admin-only powers. Managing the team and roles, and everything in Settings, stay off-limits no matter how many tabs someone is given.
- Everything else in the dashboard stays hidden from them.
Manage or remove access
Open the same Access window on that tab to see who has access, re-send a pending invite, or remove someone. Removing access takes effect right away.
Good to know
- Tab access is separate from roles. A person can have a role and extra tab access, or just tab access on its own.
- Membership doesn't grant access. Being a Member gives no dashboard access; only a role or a tab grant does.
- Removing someone from your team also revokes any tab access links they were using.
