Reviewing Registration Answers
If your event's registration form asks custom questions, the Responses tab collects every answer in one place. You can see a summary for each question and drill into what a single person said.
Before you begin
- You need access to the event, either as a church admin or as a staff member who can manage events.
- The event must have at least one custom question on its registration form. If it has none, the Responses tab does not appear.
Step-by-step
- Open your event. Go to the Events page and select the event you want to review.
- Click the Responses tab. It sits between Analytics and Emails in the row of event tabs. If you do not see it, this event has no custom questions yet.
- Read the summary line. At the top you'll see how many people have registered and how many answers were captured, for example "42 registered · 118 answers captured."
- Review each question card. Every question gets its own card showing its label, its type (like Dropdown, Number, or Short answer), how many people answered, and how many skipped it.
- See the breakdown for that question. How the answers appear depends on the question type:
- Choice questions (dropdown, multiple choice, checkboxes, yes/no) show a bar for each option with the count and percentage who picked it.
- Number questions show the average, minimum, and maximum, followed by each person's number.
- Text and date questions list every answer in its own box with the respondent's name.
- Expand individual responses. On a choice question, click See individual responses to reveal who chose what. Click Hide individual responses to collapse it again. Number and text questions already list each person's answer.
View one person's full answers
To see everything a single registrant submitted, use the Attendees tab instead:
- Go to the Attendees tab for the event.
- Open the actions menu on that person's row (the icon at the end of the row).
- Click View response. A pop-up window opens with that person's answers to all of the event's questions. This option only appears when the event has custom questions.
Adding or editing questions
You build and change questions on the Event tab, which is the event editor.
- If the Responses tab shows "No custom questions yet," click Add a question in that empty state. It takes you straight to the Event tab so you can add one.
- To reword a question or add options later, open the Event tab and edit the registration form there. New answers flow into Responses as people register.
Good to know
- Answers are event-wide. For a repeating event, the Responses tab shows answers across all dates, not just one occurrence.
- Choice answers can tag people automatically. When you set up a choice question, you can attach a tag to any option. Anyone who picks that option gets the tag applied to their record when they register, so you can sort people by how they answered. See auto-tagging from form answers.
- Skipped answers are normal. Optional questions will show a "skipped" count. Only required questions must be answered before someone can finish registering.
- Removed questions keep their answers. If you delete a question later, the answers people already gave are preserved so your past records stay intact.
